&Junque began as a collective daydream between two sisters and myself (their daughter/niece). With our common admiration for furniture with a story, a history, a one-of-a-kindness, we imagined how fun it would be to dig for these treasures, give them new life, and make them available to people who share our excitement for decor full of character. Local handmade items as well as new and vintage decor are abundant in our shop, and our products are always changing as we hunt for new “junque”. Come see us! We love to chat and you may even get to witness a fun little family debate (mom/aunt/daughter/niece/sisters …you get the point). Blessings, The &Junque Fam

The founders of the Dairy Queen® system were men and women who introduced a new kind of dessert treat and, in the process, developed the foundation of the franchising industry. The history of the DQ® system is a story of a unique product that created an industry. For more than 70 years, the DQ® system’s recipe for success has been simple. It’s been a combination of hardworking people who own and operate restaurants, and great-tasting food and tempting treats served in our establishments.

Although much has changed in the world and in the DQ® system through the years, one constant has remained: DQ® restaurants are still, and always have been, the place to find kids’ sports teams celebrating a victory, business people on their lunch break and families taking time out to enjoy great food and soft serve treats. And success for the DQ® system is as simple today as it was in 1940. Satisfied customers lead to successful restaurants. Each owner of our independently owned and operated establishments worldwide is committed to nothing less than the “Fan Food not Fast FoodTM” slogan.

Doterra Essential Oils

12040 Hook Rd.

Hicksville, OH 43526

Phone: (419) 769-1628

Founded in 2008, doTERRA was built on the mission of sharing highest quality essential oils with the world. Having seen for themselves the incredible benefits that can be had from using these precious resources, a group of health-care and business professionals set out to make this mission a reality. They formed a company and named it doTERRA, a Latin derivative meaning “Gift of the Earth.”

The first hurdle to overcome, however, was to establish a standard of quality in an industry that had never had one. It wasn’t enough to simply provide essential oils to homes around the world; the doTERRA founders were committed to providing only the highest quality and purest essential oils so that families could know with surety that they were using only the best to promote health and wellness for their loved ones. This commitment led to the creation of a new standard of quality: CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade®.

To achieve such a grand vision as bringing essential oils to the world required a team of dedicated people. This team would need to be made up of people dedicated to hard work, commitment, passion, and vision. That team has grown since its initial inception, but the mission remains the same—to provide essential oils that appeal to everyone from the novice to the expert, and that can be used safely on your loved ones.

Sharing essential oils is a unique experience, and the founders of doTERRA recognized that a sales model just as unique would be needed. In order to best facilitate personal essential oil experiences, doTERRA utilizes a direct selling model that allows distributors to work with customers as opposed to mass marketing. This more individual approach allows individuals to experience for themselves the incredible power of essential oils while also developing relationships of trust. This model also created the opportunity for individuals and families to achieve their dreams of financial independence. Over 2 million Wellness Advocates, now use and sell doTERRA products around the world.

The first offering of doTERRA essential oils included 25 single oils and 10 blends and was introduced for sale on April 25, 2008. Since that time, the doTERRA product offering has added many more single oils and oil blends as well as nutritional, spa, and healthy living products based on essential oil technologies and a comprehensive wellness philosophy. Of course, that offering couldn’t be possible without a Global Botanical Network of artisans and distillers. As doTERRA has become a trusted partner in the essential oils industry, it has also been able to help communities improve their own economic futures through its Co-Impact Sourcing® model and the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation.

Based in a state of the art facility in Pleasant Grove, Utah, doTERRA continues to work toward achieving its vision of providing all families everywhere with the health-promoting benefits of essential oils.

To be completely honest, some of us bit the dentist until we were 12. Intentionally! We get it: most people would rather chew glass than go for a 45-minute biannual routine checkup. Well, we’re not your average dentists and we don’t provide a run-of-the-drill experience: we’re your neighbors and your friends—who happen to be experts in dentistry. Our predecessor Dr. William Bricker founded his practice in the 1970’s and operated two successful offices in Antwerp and Paulding until his retirement in 2009. Since Dr. Bricker passed the torch to us in December 2009, our office headed by Dr. Sarah Mowery has persisted in delivering the same level of superior family dental care to the people of Northeastern Ohio. A former Butler Bulldog and graduate of Indiana University’s prestigious School of Dentistry, Dr. Mowery specializes in general family dentistry, providing comprehensive dental care to patients ranging from infants to seniors. Along with our staff of seasoned dental hygienists, Dr. Mowery strives to craft long-lasting smiles for all of her patients. In the cheerful and relaxed atmospheres of our offices, patients are treated like people, not walking mouths. That means there will be no manhandling and never any “I’ll be back in 5, er 45, minutes.” When you step into our office, as far as we’re concerned, you’ve joined our family; and like a family, we take care of our own. We look forward to remodeling our offices in the near future to mark our transition to a paperless practice. Soon, you’ll be seeing state-of-the-art everything: brand new equipment, flat screens and even iPads for filling-out patient forms. Complete with a revamped children’s area in the waiting room, our offices soon will match the incomparable level of care you can expect to receive from Dr. Mowery and her team. We’re always welcoming new families! If you’re interested in learning more about our practice, we invite you to come by one of the offices to meet our team, and of course, our office mascot Gizmo. Both humans and hound would love to see your smiles

At Financial Partners Federal Credit Union, our goal is to put our members first in all we do.  We have been providing our community with quality financial services for over 50 years. As a member, your input is valuable to us; please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas on what we can do to make Financial Partners YOUR credit union.  We welcome you to take a look around and see what we’re all about.
About Us

Financial Partners Federal Credit Union is a full service financial cooperative. We are a community chartered, federally insured credit union serving all of the residents and employees of East Allen County and their families. Financial Partners has been providing our members with the highest quality financial services since 1965.  When you’re a member of Financial Partners Federal Credit Union, you’re not just a customer but part-owner of your credit union. Member assets are pooled to provide loans and other financial services to fellow members. When you open an account at Financial Partners, you become a voting shareholder and elect the volunteer Board of Directors from the membership.

If you live, work, worship, or regularly do business in the ten townships of East Allen County, or have family that qualifies, you are eligible for membership. These townships are Cedar Creek, Springfield, Scipio, Milan, Maumee, Jefferson, Jackson, Marion, Madison, and Monroe.  Because we are dedicated to providing credit union services to as many people as possible, we extend membership to the families of those within our area as well, regardless of where they may live.

Financial Partners Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial institution. We exist to provide the highest quality financial services at the lowest possible cost to our members.  Instead of dividends going to shareholders, the profits are put back into the credit union to bring members lower fees and better rates.

Also, you can rest assured that your deposits are federally insured to at least $250,000.00 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and backed by the “full faith and credit of the United States of America”.

It is the mission of Financial Partners Federal Credit Union to provide quality financial services and become every member’s primary financial institution while enhancing their financial well-being.

Habitat for Humanity

Paulding, OH 45879

Habitat for Humanity (HfH) is a non-profit organization that provides housing for low-income families who have a need for housing.  Habitat for Humanity of Paulding County OH is an affilliate of HfH and incorporates the services of volunteers and partner families to provide efficient housing for those who can not afford to provide for themselves using traditional methods.

Houses are built entirely by volunteers and partner families (and may include their families and friends) from materials provided by individuals, area churches, and corporate donors who provide money and materials. Many hours of labor called sweat equity are utilized by both the recipient and other volunteers during the process of building not only their homes, but other Habitat homes as well. The new homeowners make payments, providing funding that enables the affiliate to build more Habitat housing for other needy families.

If you are interested in more information, you may check the Habitat for Humanity International website, which contains more information on Habitat’s history, mission, volunteer opportunities, as well as contact information for other Habitat affiliates around the world.

Marco’s Pizza founder Pasquale “Pat” Giammarco moved to the U.S. from Italy when he was nine years old and grew up working in his family’s pizzeria. He later embarked on a mission to make high quality pizza on a larger scale using a secret sauce recipe that he developed and refined with his father.

Giammarco established three standards in order to deliver the consistent levels of quality and freshness expected of Marco’s products: dough made fresh daily in each store; a proprietary sauce recipe that blends imported spices and three types of vine-ripened tomatoes; and an exclusive blend of three fresh cheeses (never frozen, unlike many pizza chains). The first Marco’s Pizza store opened in Toledo in 1978. Gradually, stores opened throughout the Midwest and beyond. The Marco’s Pizza menu broadened as well, to include hot sub sandwiches, salads and Cheezybread for carryout and delivery. Today, there are more than 500 Marco’s Pizza stores in 35 states and the Bahamas.

Your local Marco’s Pizza hours of operation:

Ohio State University Extension brings the knowledge of the university directly to you. We fulfill the land-grant mission of The Ohio State University by interpreting knowledge and research developed by Extension and other faculty and staff at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, Ohio State main campus, and other land-grant universities – so Ohioans can use the scientifically-based information to better their lives, businesses and communities.

The Extension system is the world’s largest non-formal educational system. Extension programs address the needs of the local community while also addressing state, national, and global issues. Our practical educational programs combine the needs of local citizens and communities with new research and technical information.

No matter which county you visit, you can find people who are helped by the four major OSU Extension program areas: family and consumer sciences, 4-H youth development, community development, and agriculture and natural resources. These program areas – and many other special topics – are continuously evaluated and updated to meet the changing needs and issues facing each community. Extension provides practical advice, sensible solutions, and realistic down-to-earth answers for ALL Ohioans.

Our mission: Engaging people to strengthen their lives and communities through research-based educational programming.
Our vision: OSU Extension is a dynamic educational entity that partners with individuals, families, communities, business and industry, and organizations to strengthen the lives of Ohioans.

We connect with people in all stages of life, from young children to older adults. We work with families and children, farmers and business owners, community leaders and elected officials to build better lives, better businesses and better communities to make Ohio great.

Paragon Tempered Glass, LLC produces tempered glass products, filling a variety of different specialty applications where strength and/or safety are specified. Tempered glass is four to five times stronger than annealed glass which makes it desirable in transportation, architectural and a variety of other applications. In addition, its balanced internal stresses enable the glass, when broken, to crumble into small, harmless “chunks” instead of splintering into sharp, jagged shards. Tem-Pace and Spec-Temp have now merged to become Paragon Tempered Glass, LLC. Customers will continue to enjoy the same quality, reliability and value upon which we were founded…but now, a lot more.

The first Red Angel Pizza shop opened for business on July 4th, 1974 in the small town of Payne, Ohio. The amazing pizza and grinders became an instant hit and many more shops were created in surrounding areas. Like many others, you may wonder where the name came from. It’s actually quite simple: The names of the original founders were “Red” and his partner “Angel”. They put their names together and “Voila”! The foundation for Red Angel’s delicious pizza is still the same today as it was over 36 years ago: A unique sour dough crust and an amazing sauce recipe that’s worth millions! We never skimp on our toppings and every pizza is finished off with a thick layer of pure mozzarella cheese. Our Mission: We strive to provide the best product for our customers. We realize that there are many choices in the area for pizza…that’s why we guarantee our product. If you aren’t satisfied with your pizza for some reason, please let us know and we’ll make it right. We also take pride in being flexible. If you like your pizza a certain way or have a special request, we would love to accommodate you!

Featuring the largest vertical glass tempering furnace in the world, Taylor Made Glass continues to invest significantly in our Payne, Ohio facility – keeping it one of the most efficient, state-of-the-art glass bending facilities the world over. In the past decade, 15,000 sq. ft. of floorspace has been added, and the installation of two more vertical tempering furnaces has doubled our capacity. The pre-furnace operation has undergone considerable improvements, adding a new conveyor system, new wash line, three drills, two large paint tables and an additional grinder. Perhaps most importantly, the vast majority of tooling is now constructed in-house, implementing the use of two-up molds that double the output of each furnace cycle. The end result of all of this effort and investment is an ISO 9001:2008 certified facility capable of producing flawlessly tempered, beautifully curved glass for a myriad of market segments.

Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ohio Charities

35 E. Chestnut St., Suite 505
Columbus, OH 43215

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of Ohio Charities was established in 2003 as a way for our VFW locations to have charity funds to assist needy veterans in their respective communities.  In 2003 the Ohio legislators amended Ohio Revised Code Chapter 2915 to allow veteran, fraternal, and sporting organizations to conduct instant bingo.  Organizations would be required to obtain a license annually from the Ohio Attorney General reporting charitable income for the prior year.  License fees are based on income from charitable gaming.  Fees range from $500 and up.  Organizations are required to donate at least 25% to a contracted 501(c)3 charity.  Knowing that our posts would not have charitable dollars to carry on their charity work in their respective communities, as they had for the past 100 plus years, the VFW of Ohio Charities was formed and it allowed the VFWOC to set up charity bank accounts at each post (agent).  This permitted the post to do charity work in their respective communities.
The best year for VFWOC fund raising was nearly 8 million dollars.  Today with casinos, racinos and illegal store fronts around the state of Ohio charity funds has been reduced to about 5 million dollars.  VFWOC operates at about 6% administrative cost.  VFWOC continues to assist needy veterans and their families around the state.  We also assist food banks, schools, scouts, youth projects, community projects, homeless programs.  Our main goal is to assist those military men and women returning from war and their families.
VFWOC joins other organizations supporting homeless stand downs around the state by supplying sleeping bags, shoes, blankets, clothing, etc.  VFWOC is also partnering with the VA Medical Centers to provide rent and utilities for homeless veterans who are trying to work themselves back into society.
To make donations to the VFW of Ohio Charities, a 501(c)3 charity, please send checks to:

Wagner Metals is a team of roofing contractors and remodelers providing top-quality roofing and remodeling services and metal sales to clients across Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan. To keep projects within a reasonable budget, we offer cost-effective solutions for upgrading existing structures instead of replacing them entirely. It’s possible you can get many more years of use and save a lot of money by repairing and coating your roof instead of building a new one, for example. Our remodelers and roofing contractors often renovate older buildings, with expertise in roof, door, and siding replacement, as well as room additions.

Wagner Metals company founder, Brett Wagner, has spent his entire working life in the construction industry.

For top quality, excellent value, first-class service and professionalism, call Wagner Metals or Email Brett for all your building needs.

West Bend News is a division of the parent company West Bend Printing and Publishing Inc.. The business is split evenly with the newspaper and the commercial printing division. West Bend actively seeks news and ads to present in a local only printed newspaper that crosses the Ohio/Indiana state line, seeking to enhance business and living opportunities for all people. The website is carefully crafted and allows access to news for everyone along with the ability to search and print all past issues. There should be no charge for news and it should be freely accessible. This is why the newspaper is free in area businesses and organizations throughout northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana. It is paid for by advertising. News submissions are also free for anyone to let the community know of their good news. The other part of the business is commercial printing. This involves marketing and design work as well. Our customers tell us we have the best designs in the area. We print just about anything you can imagine, from full color brochures to vinyl signs, canvas wall coverings and much more. We are not just a copy shop, but if that is what you need, we can fill that too. Stop on in and find out why West Bend Printing & Publishing is selected as the best printer and newspaper around.

Paulding County is a great place to work, live and raise a family. My goal at MY 102.7 is to highlight all the positive things that make this part of Ohio our homeWe will be playing The Beatles to Bon Jovi. I wanted to play ‘classic rock’ but my kids informed me that the music I listened to while in high school now qualifies for oldies status, so I guess we’re an oldies station.

As a farmer I have listened to a lot of radio in the tractor over the last 30 years. We have a variety of really good stations in our area. But a few years ago I started noticing that we receive radio signals that are not really tailored to us. I am excited about giving our local schools, county officials and local events a spot light. A radio station in Paulding County for Paulding County.

My 102.7 broadcasts from a county landmark. During the Cold War, the government built several towers for wireless communication. This was part of what became known as the “Washington to Moscow Hotline”. Now privately owned, an antenna has been installed on the 310 foot red and white iron tower two miles west of US127 on CR 176. It is a really neat old building and what could be cooler?! Classic rock being broadcast from a giant iron tower built during the cold war that is able to withstand a nuclear blast – it is perfect!

Please visit our web site for up-to-date info and request your favorite songs!
